Wrapping Up

Thursday night the students had their annual end of the year BBQ. Alicia and I had so much fun hanging out with the students one last time before the summer. It has been encouraging for us to meet so many of the students this semester and we are looking forward to the next semester fresh with everyone. It should help the transition since the fall semester will be the busiest time of year for us.

As mentioned in our latest monthly newsletter, I have been playing on an intramural softball team with some of the students. We started out the season playing pretty bad and were actually off to an 0-6 start. Our games were comical at times, but something clicked and we finished the season playing like a different team. We finished the season 3-7 and actually swept a doubleheader against the first place team, who beat us by 10 and 15 runs in a doubleheader the first week. It was a lot of fun competing and playing ball with the guys.
