We are back home and settled in after the Christmas break and the Denver Christmas Conference.
The conference features a Day of Faith in which the students have an opportunity to reach out to the Denver Community. They offer acts of service and share their faith or pray for the community. Every year there are incredible stories and students are really challenged throughout the day in different ways.
I was so encouraged to hear this story from that day:
A group from the University of Missouri met a single mom at her home, and left there thinking that they could do more for her. They raised money that afternoon and returned to here home with not only a bad of groceries, but a new washer and dryer.
"On the day of faith, things didn't go as planned and we never got to our assigned location. We were feeling discouraged when we met a recovering heroine addict on the bus. I as able to share with her how my faith brought be through my drug addiction recovery. God worked in circumstances totally out of our control."

"As we were walking down the 16th Street Mall, a man stopped us and asked if we were part of a church. When he heard that we were, he explained all that he was going though in his life and asked if we would pray with him. After we prayed I asked if he would like to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. We shared the gospel with him and he wanted to pray to accept Christ as his Savior. After praying with him, we took him to Chili's to have dinner with us."
