Last weekend we had our annual Fall Getaway with students from across the state. It's a time for students to leave their normal routine, while being intentional about growing in their walk with the Lord and having fun with other students.
A few highlights I heard from the students were:
Hearing another student share the gospel with a Taiwanese student.
I was most challenged by Lee's talk about the older brother in the prodigal son parable. It reminded me that the older brother was sinful not only in questioning the father's motives and rejecting his brother but that he rejected his father as much as the younger son had and for the same reason--he loved his father's possessions more than his father.
The biggest thing for me was when they started talking about mission work. When they brought it up during the meeting and later at the seminar I really felt God kind of draw me toward it. So I think this Summer I'm going to do one of the 2 week outreaches and see where God takes me from there.
Part of the fun included a high-ropes course. The pole they jumped off of was about 30 ft high.

Brandon (UNO student), who recently led a Korean student to Christ, shared about his experience ministering to students in East Asia.

Hanging out with some UNO students at our bonfire.
